What's New?

Government Emerging Technologies Conference
Visual Analytics was a hit with a sneak preview of the newest versions of our software, VisuaLinks 3.0 and DIG 2.0, at the recent Government Emerging Technologies
Conference: Partnership for Homeland Security Conference, January 7-9, in Las Vegas, NV. We thank all who stopped by the booth to say hello and for the praise of the
new versions of both VisuaLinks and DIG. Of particular note during the conference was the session on data visualization highlighting the need for more advanced tools
and better information-sharing. Based on attendee reaction at our booth, VAI tools were a home-run. VAI tools are providing the intelligence community with the very capabilities it needs to be successful.

More training aids are currently under construction as well as new sample models and databases to demonstrate different types of patterns. VAI continues to solicit feedback from our user community to document and share patterns of interest from a variety of domains and situations. Please keep the submissions coming.
Finally, we would like to dedicate this issue to the memory of James McGrath (1953-2003). Jim spent 25 years as a Special Agent with IRS-Criminal Investigations. He was a supporter of VAI and a good friend. We'll miss you Jim.
