Progress, Changes & Updates

Time flies when you're having fun - especially when developing the world's most powerful analytical and information sharing software. The staff at VAI has been working overtime to get our newest versions of our VisuaLinks and DIG products into the marketplace. These new versions offer unprecedented capabilities that are unmatched by any other software solution within the industry. VAI is proud to offer superior products at more affordable prices than our competition. The wide-scale use of VAI technologies proves that the community has embraced our approach to delivering scalable and distributed information sharing with advanced analytics.

VAI was also busy over the past year creating a new product called the DIG Symphony Designer for performing ETL (extract, translate, and load) functions on data. This stand-alone system can be used to quickly clean up data sources, add value to the data, and produce better quality output in support of the analytical and information sharing process. It also integrates directly with DIG to provide a "disambiguator" function for on-the-fly data cleansing. The analytical community has requested better methods for creating and delivering cleaner data from which to perform their analyses and VAI has responded by creating the DIG Symphony Designer to deliver this capability in a seamless and well-integrated package.

Over the past quarter, VAI has announced a number of new partnerships, distributors, and strategic alliances to help support our diverse and ever growing client base. It's our goal to provide well-integrated and easily-deployed technologies for addressing all aspects of the analytical and information sharing process. VAI invests very heavily into its technologies to ensure they run on the widest number of hardware platforms, couple to the most data sources, and scale to large numbers of users. Our innovation, attention to detail, and dynamic work environments guarantee our clients a better solution. VAI is defining the marketplace and establishing the standards for how data are shared and analyzed.

DIG is playing a huge role in defining the information sharing marketplace. With its proven track record at HIDTA and other law enforcement agencies, DIG has become the standard for securely searching, sharing, and reporting on large volumes of disparate and distributed data sources. The new "indexing" features speed up search times without compromising the performance of production systems. Additionally, DIG Symphony 1.0 is making its debut providing a flexible, adaptable, and very powerful, value-added ETL capability.

When dealing with a vast amount of transactional data from different data sources, VisuaLinks gives you the ability to link data and discover patterns in data elements across different data bases. You can discover transactional or ownership patterns using data elements which are outside of the mining capabilities of standard data base to data base checks. Pattern theories can be tested quickly and link charts can be developed when common data elements are discovered. This is especially valuable when you are dealing with diverse information which does not always have the characteristic of always being valid and 100% correct. The link charts not only help you visualize the connections but help you learn the personality of the data and the characteristics of the information contained within each individual data source.
